 Knowledge Management

MENRIS has revamped the intranet and also launched the Collaborative Workspace. The Intranet environment is designed in a way to provide all staff a “one stop experience” for information access and sharing. While retaining all the contents of the previous Intranet environment, the current intranet environment integrates many other knowledge management tools such as:

• ICIMOD’s Information resources; 
• Document Management System;
• Collaborative workspace and Team Building; 
• Mountain Knowledge Search; 
• Mountain Web Resources 

Collaborative workspace or the Discussion Forum is a system to share, manage and access the knowledge, both in the form of documents and formal or informal presentations. This forum has been developed in the perspective of new information and knowledge management paradigm. It is a great way to enhance the collaborative work (team building) and share information among the staff in ICIMOD.

MENRIS provided copies of the book "GIS for Beginners" and CDs to School of Geomatics on their request for support from ICIMOD for training materials and for strengthening their curriculum.  

MENRIS provided two computers to IAAS, Rampur, Chitwan, on their request for support in terms of computers for strengthening the capacity of their GIS laboratory.
